Welcome to Fashion-Ade, a refreshing way to get dressed. 

Our mission:  to empower you by helping you confidently express your sense of style each and every time you get dressed. 

So how do we aim to do that?  In all kinds of ways:

  • Fashion-Ade lets you build a virtual closet quickly and easily.  No need to upload photos – just select from our nearly 100,000 garments, pre-loaded  in our master closet, as stand-ins for the clothes you already own. 
  • To make it even easier, we’ve come up with a quick and easy way to identify your style influence, which in turn influences what might be in your closet.  By consulting more than 1,000 women to learn what influences their sense of style, and then polling them to learn what hangs in their closets, you can take advantage of our “Fashion Flavor Selector” to get a jumpstart on building your closet.  But don’t worry:  we’ll never pigeon hole you - you can always peak into our complete closet, or change your Fashion Flavor at any time.  And speaking of your Fashion Flavor, that’s just short hand for the general rules surrounding a particular style.  There are 8 different Fashion Flavors – Classic, Sporty, Comfortable, Glamorous, Trendy, Bohemian, Preppy and Romantic – and each has a set of garments and a set of general rules that go with it.  For instance, if you’re Sporty, you probably dress in a way that lets you be active – no fussy frills or spiky heels.  However, Glamorous girls wouldn’t be caught in public without a load of accessories and lots of drama.  Ready to find out what you are?  Take our simple, simple quiz!
  • Now, of course, our master closet isn’t limitless – yet.  That’s why you can always upload photos if you really want your green floral maxi dress or your ice blue evening bag in the mix.  You can also peak into the closets of other Fashion Flavors if you don’t see items you own. Once your closet is built, the fun begins - we can now help you solve the puzzle of what to wear! Our patent-pending Outfit Engine let’s you view thousands of outfit combinations, all based on the things you actually own. You can easily navigate through these combinations via a variety of sort features, or by just telling the engine what you’d like to start with:  say, “black pants” or “pencil skirt.”
  • Not sure about a combination?  It’s easy to send an outfit to a friend (or many friends, or the whole darn Fashion-Ade community if you’d like) to get a second opinion – at any time.  You can send it via email, or just put it your Facebook feed to get instant feedback. 
  • Want to know what other women are wearing?  It’s easy to see the closets of women – in your network, in your city, or maybe even in a city you’ll be visiting.  If you’re like us, then you’ll agree that watching what other stylish women do is sometimes the best fashion advice you can get.
  • Concerned your closet is filled with unwearables?  Don’t be!  The secret is focusing on the season’s trends, and then mixing those trendier items with the things you own to come up with really fresh, in-the-moment looks.  Michelle Lynch, our fashion director, and her team are on the case for you.  They’ve identified the season’s hottest trends and figured out what works with your sense of style.  Sometimes that might mean you’ll want to add an item (and we’ve partnered with fabulous retailers like Zappos, Dillard’s and Saks 5th Avenue to bring them to you), but sometimes it just means pulling an item you already own to the front of your closet.
