Trend Update: Fall 2011 - Boxy Tees

I love a boxy tee! I'm so glad they are back and on-trend this fall. I'm seeing them in lots of different styles:
- Color blocked - another hot trend this season!
- A variety of patterns - stripes, solids or graphics are all options
- Bright colors - you guessed it, another fall trend!
- A choice of sleeve types, from cropped to batwing
- The new asymmetrical hem, which adds a little bit of unexpectedness to any outfit - I urge you to try this one!
These comfy tops are easy to wear, when and if you know one little trick: It's all about proportion. Just based on the name alone, we know this silhouette isn't going to provide a lot of shape on the top of your frame. So, the key to wearing this look is all about the pants or skirt paired with it. Perfect options:
- A skinny pant
- The new high waist flare jeans (look for ones made to fit through the seat and thigh, with a flare at the bottom)
- A fitted pencil skirt
