Trend Update: Fall 2011 - Bright Pants

Finally, a look we can all love! Brightly colored pants are back for Fall and, I, for one, say it’s about time!
The best thing about this look? There are so many choices! Pick any silhouette, any fabric, any cut, any fit. You’re sure to find a brightly hued version that’s just right for you. (And here’s a tip – this is a go-piece for that colorblocking trend I talked about earlier this season!)
Here are some of my favorite ways to wear these gems:
- A bright yellow wide leg trouser paired with navy boxy tee and wide belt
- A red skinny denim with yellow heels and an ivory high neck blouse
- Electric blue pants (cropped or full length) with a peachy-orange cashmere sweater (purchased last summer perhaps, when orange was all the rage?)
- A pair of green cropped wool pants matched with an ivory cami and black fitted denim blazer
I could go on and on… Can’t you just visualize all the possibilities?
The ease of this bright-on-bottom look makes it a no-brainer for fall fashion. Simply pick your favorite flattering bottoms and have fun with the top. A solid color sweater is a great choice, but you’ll find lots of coordinating print tops out there too. These will look fantastic layered under a tailored blazer or a relaxed denim jacket.
